Psychology Mentorship

Merhabalar,

Under the platform I founded, “Psychology Mentorship,” we have embarked on a fresh journey with a wonderful team of undergraduate psychology students. In our career paths, we all go through moments filled with countless “what ifs.” When faced with different crossroads, the lack of clarity about each possible path often increases our anxiety: Which direction is truly right for me? When I choose one, what opportunities am I leaving behind? How can I draw a roadmap that reflects my own desires, dreams, goals, and personality?

It was out of these shared uncertainties that we created this platform. Our first steps are warm, informal coffee talks where professionals from various fields of psychology share their perspectives, career journeys, and professional experiences. These conversations are not only grounded in theory but also enriched with personal stories.

From one mental health professional to another, from experienced experts to future practitioners, our aim is to foster professional solidarity. With this in mind, we plan to organize online seminars, interactive events, workshops on diverse topics, and much more.

“Learning is, in fact, discovering that you already possess knowledge. Doing is showing that you know. Teaching is reminding others that they, too, hold knowledge within themselves. We are all learners, doers, and teachers.”

In this seminar, we will take an in-depth look at the concept of trauma. By joining, you can broaden your knowledge and deepen your awareness of this crucial subject. Click here for more details.

At Psychology Mentorship, we are starting the new term with a fresh perspective! In this seminar, we explored schizophrenia—one of the most fascinating pathologies in the field of psychology. But what makes this seminar different from many others on the same topic?

In Türkiye, Psychiatrist Dr. Basri Köylü stages theater plays together with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia through the group “Ben de Varım!” (“I Exist Too!”). These performances are held in different cities, helping not only to foster improvement in patients’ symptoms but also to break down the social stigma surrounding schizophrenia. PSYCHOTHERAPY SERIES, 1: COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY & SCHEMA THERAPY

The limited amount of information provided during undergraduate studies about therapeutic schools and methods, the need to consider schools of thought when applying for graduate programs, and the importance of understanding what distinguishes one approach from another motivated us to launch this series.

In the first seminar of the series, “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Schema Therapy,” our guest speakers Expert Clinical Psychologist Cansu Yurtseven and Expert Clinical Psychologist Buse Duran joined us to share their insights. Click here for more details

PSYCHOTHERAPY SERIES, 2: PSYCHODYNAMIC & PSYCHOANALYTIC THERAPIES

Our well-received series, “Schools of Psychotherapy,” is a space where we explore different therapeutic approaches, learn their foundations, and find answers to the questions that arise along the way.

In the second seminar of the series, “Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytic Therapy,” our guest speakers Psychologist Derin Kubilay and Psychologist Bengü Kovar will be joining you to share their knowledge and perspectives.

“Our psychological resilience helps us cope with adversity and sustain ourselves. It is the belief that we can overcome every challenge we encounter and continue moving forward on our path.”
