Each therapy session lasts 45 minutes.
🌿 How are the sessions conducted?
Sessions are held online via Zoom. It is very important to be in a calm and quiet environment where you can speak comfortably during the session
🌿 Which therapeutic approaches do you use?
In my sessions, I integrate psychodynamic therapy and EMDR therapy. These approaches support clients in better understanding themselves, coping with difficult experiences, and restoring balance in their lives. They are useful both in addressing everyday challenges and in processing the lasting impact of past experiences on present life.
🌿 What is EMDR therapy?
All of us may carry challenging or traumatic memories from the past. Sometimes, these memories unconsciously shape our current emotions, thoughts, and relationships. For example, if the belief “I am not good enough” or “I am worthless” took root in childhood, it may later manifest as insecurity, anxiety, or constant need for approval in adulthood. EMDR therapy helps reduce the intense impact of such memories. In a safe therapeutic setting, these experiences are revisited, and the brain’s natural processing capacity is reactivated. As a result, the weight of the past casts a lighter shadow on the present, allowing individuals to feel freer and more balanced.
From a more scientific perspective, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy approach that targets the brain’s information processing system. During traumatic events, memories may not be processed normally and remain “frozen,” which can trigger ongoing emotional and physical reactions. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tactile, or auditory stimuli) to enable the brain to reprocess these frozen memories. Neuroscientific studies show that EMDR can help regulate the connections between the amygdala (threat perception), hippocampus (memory), and prefrontal cortex (executive functions), thereby reducing the emotional intensity of traumatic memories. Sessions are available in Turkish and English, allowing me to work with both Turkish-speaking and international clients.

Confidentiality is a core principle of therapy. Everything you share is protected within an ethical framework. If you need to cancel your appointment, simply let me know at least 24 hours in advance.
